Our superlative team includes Data Scientists, Systems and DevOps Engineers, Mathematicians, Computer Scientists, Statisticians, Image Scientists, and other kinds of software developers and programmers, all of whom offer unique backgrounds to solve very difficult problems ranging from machine learning with neural networks to massive scale spatio-temporal analytics. Our diverse team naturally has a wide-ranging set of interests—this past winter a holiday gift experiment produced a 3D printer, Oculus Rift, and kegerator for the homebrew crew. Charlottesville is an oasis in central Virginia that offers metropolitan amenities, history, activities, cuisine, and culture, all while maintaining a friendly, small-town feel. We love having easy access to the intellectual and cultural offerings of a major research university, along with the area’s incredible restaurants, independent micro-breweries, and award-winning, sophisticated wineries. Beautiful Shenandoah National Park is in our backyard, along with some of the best trails and biking roads on the East Coast. We are within two or three hours of Washington, DC or the Atlantic Ocean beaches. We even have a winter ski resort nearby!
